Saginaw lost in the Conference Final to the eventual OHL Champion. Not only that but clearly Saginaw was superior to the Eastern Conference Champion (Oshawa). IMO there NEVER was a "backdoor" entrance to the Memorial Cup, Saginaw deserved to be there and are representing the OHL just fine. Attendance is solid and from what we are being told the festivities are on par with previous hosts. Well done, however I am sorry to say we (London) will have to spoil the party and win the Memorial Cup!

But definitely can’t look past moose jaw. This is the first time the spirit have been in a “season ending” game this year, so we will see if that desperation shows.

It’s easily the most anxious I’ve been all year. Like the previous game, I don’t think there will be much special teams activity.

We need our big guns to show up - beck, sapo, Bloom - we can’t rely on depth players (sima, Willis, etc) to carry the team.

I do also worry about the let down factor after Wednesday night.

If you ask me, the first team to score is the one who will win the game tonight.

Should be a fun one!

I think most fans think that way too. I don't cheer my team all year with the hopes of winning a 4 or 5 game showcase tournament, I dream of them grinding through 2 months, and four 7-game series to be the last team standing of 20.

A memorial cup win is undoubtedly a huge accomplishment for any team/fanbase that should be celebrated but comparing it to a league championship is a tough sell.

The Spirit D absolutely gassed in the third period. That's what happens when you only play four D the entire game. What was Lazary thinking.

D didn't really looked gassed to me. It was more of Dale taking away the middle of the ice and not allowing the Spirit to break out like they did in the 1st and 2nd. They were more frustrated then gassed.

Nothing to do with hosting. I wouldn't want to host. The mem cup is a fashion show. I'd rather a league title. Teams are only chosen to host because of the logistics of it. Someone needs to host it.
