Three full days rest, home game, opponent can't score and isn't good and sent their best player back home before the game, and had to play the second half of the game with 4 defensemen, and the Sabres couldn't handle them and didn't look very competitive for the vast majority of the game.

I hear you but not finishing checks and clearing our net or hunting loose pucks around Levi is effort
It's that they're just not good enough man ... it's not hard to figure out. It's a top 6 group made up of outcasts and trade leftovers that good teams didn't want. I'm sorry, but Alex Tuch and Tage Thompson are good hockey players but not 1st liners on a contender or even a team that can win a playoff game or two. Then you add the young guys around them that struggle to make an impact under pressure and this is what you get. They're just not able to handle the expectations of a real coach that knows how to get a team into the playoffs. They're Cracking!

Memo to Lindy Ruff: Clifton/Samuelsson ain't no Mckee/Warrener shut down pair.
True but who else could we possibly play in those minutes?

Sammy/Clifton are getting 30% OZS%.

Power/Byram suck defensively and their underlying numbers aren’t great. OZS% of 60% with xGF% 40%.

Dahlin/Joker wouldn’t be great for that role either.

Soooooo stupid acquiring Byram.

They put zero pressure on the defense. I don't understand why Ruff didn't attack down to the bottom of the next from zone entries and make the NYI defense skate harder.

They just did the same shit.

This is also a lame excuse any Sabre will do better when going to another team there is just no accountability for having several bad games. No one cares when D men are literally letting passes go right by them.
Also true ... Ruff really needs to send a message to a few of these guys. Problem is, this is such a weak roster that Adams has given him.

How long before Zucker gives up with the rest of the team.

Adams needs to ship some of these losers out.

No shit. These guys.....

Somebody please make it stop. We've jettisoned all the ill gotten tank gains (Eichel, Reinhart). We've endured unprecedented suffering (13 years and counting). We've exhibited extraordinary patience. Our aspirations are bottom of the barrel (squeak into playoffs as am 8th seed). What wicked demons have beset our suffering franchise?

Thompson is not certain about tuch if top six is the criteria .

I don't see it that dire I do see a bunch of cocky ill pricks that thought they would cruise tonight and then gave up tying goal and etc etc

I'm so sick of this team doing the whole 1 step forward 3 steps back routine. Ffs put together a nice long streak . Yeah yeah I know it's still early and we're only 2 games under .500 ( for the moment ) but we've been putting up with this exact nonsense for years and years now. It's beyond frustrating.

We can subtract defensemen, Ryan Johnson and Gilbert can fill in for Samuelsson and Byram or Clifton and Byram. I really like Novikov but I think it's too early for him.

Use defensemen to get a 2C and fill defensemen in house, you have a good stay at home defensemen in Ryan Johnson and you don't use him.

My first order of business would be to flip Joker and Samuelson and go from there. These parings have been wildly inconsistent all season, but Ruff seem dead set on sticking with this configuration. Maybe start working in Gilbert here and there for some accountability.

Stable partner for Power
The on ice stats of Power/Byram among our 3 d-pairs.

Worst xGA/60
Worst actual GA/60
Worst xGF/60

Their actual GF/60 (4.27) is the best and the only reason some posters mistakenly believe they're any good. It’s also wildly outperformed their xGF/60 (1.87) and isn’t sustainable.

They don’t even get tough deployments OZS% 60%.

I think arguing w the fine Mr grier who fookin wouldn't be a great fan of Grier

we should have a 4th Jersey that acknowledges the wasted talent

the buffalo entitled top half of the first round , never worked to pay rent BABIES .

MAYBE wearing this Jersey after a loss like the last two b.s. losses outplayed and out schemed but mainly out executed , they would be forced to play 56? minutes 58? to their hair on fire ability and forgotten physicality , which most teams know that need near 50 wins of that .

46 to go I can't imagine ruff is thrilled

I'm with them because I've seen them outplay everyone equally as mailing it in I'm willing to believe it just takes time in riffs system especially against big sound defensive teams

for tonight fook you for making me care at 3 2 then cashin in ya entitled first round BABIES

the long forgotten three game win streak they played defensive structure
They really, REALLY!, need to get back to playing like that.

And soon.

They CANNOT let this season get away again before the holidays.

We need a strong vet partner for Power.

Kevyn: Best I can do is a failing bust kid struggling for playing time on a good team because he sucks.
