Sabres of last season would get out worked and lose this game. This is the beginning of the stretch where you need 7 of 10. It starts with today where, top to bottom, you’re a better team than your opponent.
Means a lot to us europeans. 7 pm here instead of 1 am.Am I the only one who hates these afternoon games? I hate them for hockey in general.
I've always viewed afternoon games as a fantastic way to get kids involved in going to the games. And getting kids involved isn't a bad thing for hockey in general.Am I the only one who hates these afternoon games? I hate them for hockey in general.
You think the Sabres are a better team then someone? They should never ever have that approach and the fans shouldnt think that either. This is the beginning of the stretch where you need 7 of 10. It starts with today where, top to bottom, you’re a better team than your opponent.
I totally get why the Sabres themselves should never think that they're better than a team................You think the Sabres are a better team then someone? They should never ever have that approach and the fans shouldnt think that either.
The Sabres have done nothing to deserve or command any respect where they are better than someone.
13 years is why.I totally get why the Sabres themselves should never think that they're better than a team................
But why shouldn't the fans?
Well, it depends where you live. For me, on the contrary, it's good, it's 8 pm now, but I can't watch games that start at 7 pm (In USA), because it's 3 am at that time for me.Am I the only one who hates these afternoon games? I hate them for hockey in general.
What does that have anything to do with anything? Because they haven't made the playoffs in 13 years, a fan isn't allowed to think that this year's version of the Sabres is better than some other team?13 years is why.
Why would you? We have seen 10 game win streaks dissolve into a bottom 3 finish. The Sabres live to disappoint, last 3 hockey games the Sabres played and watched them expecting them to lose and I had the best hockey time in a long time when they defied those expectations. What does that have anything to do with anything? It only feels that way because for 14 years they've been bad during all games.Means a lot to us europeans. 7 pm here instead of 1 am.
It's probably the isolation effect but it does seem like they are worse during:
1. Kids night
2. Hockey fights cancer
3. Afternoon games
Games played in europe is a different tier, I'm glad I skipped Prague.
I get why they do it. Its great for the kids and the European fans but growing up hockey was a night time thing. For the most part I find afternoon games aren't entertaining, it's not just the Sabres but most NHL games. It's usually very sloppy hockey.I've always viewed afternoon games as a fantastic way to get kids involved in going to the games. And getting kids involved isn't a bad thing for hockey in general.

Go ahead and think they are a better team but if they lose I get tired of hearing 'this is a game they should have won'.
