The 4th liners Adams heavily invested in really looks like 4th liners. Who would have thought?

I don't understand how adding multiple bad players helps us win games must be some multi dimensional strategy Adams is working on.
Malenstyn has been very good. Lafferty and NAK were throwing the body, crashing the net and stirring shit up with everyone in the pre-season and then the puck dropped on the regular season, they did it for two games in Europe and then completely disappeared

I disagree on the coaching. Too many low hockey IQ players making dumb decisions.

Thompson, Krebs (as a winger), Power, Peterka, Cozens (as a center), Jokiharju are all average to below average hockey IQ players who do dumb things with the puck. And when they do, it puts other players out of position. And you get what we are seeing.
But without the puck. That’s coaching.

I'd say Malenstyn has been ok. He's better than Girgensons at least.
We have one center with average hockey iq on the team and lack half a top 6.
Five years and Adams tries to solve things by changing 4th line and now we have our worse-than-4th-line players leading the team. Krebs on the powerplay is hockey s*domy.

A lot of what happens without the puck is a dumb decision putting everyone else out of position. Then everyone is scrambling to get back into position.

I put nearly all of this on dumb players. How many coaches have the same players and can’t find success? What’s the common denominator?

How many puck overplays does Thompson make to where it’s just him? How many times does Power play weak without the puck, where it’s just him?

Lots of teams have dumb players. Somehow other teams get their dumb players to fit into their systems.

Montour just looked defeated. E-rod always played pretty smart but never got a real chance.

But he can skate in a straight line!!!
I honestly feel like Erod got screwed a bit by being Eichel's linemate in college. He was overshadowed and then when he came here he was seen as someone who was brought in to appease Eichel instead of a good player on his own.
