I'll dust this off cause I feel like getting abused.

This teams issues are:
5% Ruff
10% Pegula
30% Adams (including scouts and staff)
55% Players
The games themselves are 90% players, 10% coaches.

The standards of the organizations, the decisions made by the organization to place players in certain positions, levels of the organization, to actually conduct the actual build of the teams (Rochester and Buffalo) falls squarely on management. I’m not going to blame the players if they are forced to play above where they should be actual playing, or that roles of the team aren’t filled adequately to help the players fit in a locker room to build a cohesive team.

It’s not the players’ fault the majority of their development was done at a level it shouldn’t have been done at with a coaching staff that isn’t good enough to develop players themselves.

If I own a business and I hire a crony with no qualification whatsoever to run it and it goes to shit it's pretty obvious who's at fault.
I think that is where your evaluation is lacking. If that leader has 23 highly skilled employees and 5 of those employees are working while the other 18 are just existing, it is a small fraction that the owner is the problem

I would tend to agree if said players could do basic hockey fundamentals. It is fairly clear the offensive structure is to get on the forecheck and get the puck back to the point. The players have a very hard time making tape to tape passes, the players send and receive time grenades all the time but can never actually settle them. The players are taught to go to the net, only a handful actually get there. The dmen are to get points shots through and on the net, I would surprised if that is the case for 10% of the attempts. It feels like the players don't trust each other to make the right play.

Hence why I feel the players are about 90% responsible for the games themselves. For the coaching aspect, they need to be able to adapt and ask the players to perform to their strengths and find a way to work away from what they do terrible.

lol, thanks for sticking your neck out for the sake of conversation.

I understand people who said the players are Adams responsibility and I understand those that said Adams is Pegula's responsibility however why are we not blaming the big bang for creating this universe where Pegula purchased the Sabres and hired Adams? Without the big bang none of the Sabres' issues would exist. Well, many issues would not exist because nothing would exist but then at least the Sabres wouldn't be a disgrace, lol.

I watched most of last night's game and I could see players, at times, half-assing it and being in positions they probably should not have been in. As someone said, regardless of the shortcomings of the roster in theory they could be around a .500 team yet they are a disaster. Some (many?) of the players should look themselves in the mirror and say they need to play better because they are not playing their best and they're not even playing to their average expectation. There is no give-a-damn. No desire. No heart. They just don't give a shit so neither should we.

Essentially this. One play that stood out for me was the fourth goal. McMann had the breakout, in the Sabres zone was Byram and Gilbert, with Tuch racing Domi to the net. Gilbert played it well, took the man, prevented the drive. Byram took a few strides and then coasted to the net and Tuch got boat raced. The fact that Byram and Gilbert were already in the zone and Domi wasn't and Domi ended up with a breakaway is completely unacceptable.

What would you like to see as our forward lines tonight? Same as last night or changes?
At some point you need consistency because mixing and matching blows up chemistry.

Benson Kulich Zucker
Cozens Thompson Malenstyn
Peterka McLeod Tuch
Quinn Krebs Lafferty

Samuelsson Dahlin
Byram Clifton
Power Gilbert

Effort based and I'm telling the team this is the lineup the next 5 games unless someone gets moved.

I'm telling Samuelsson, Clifton and Gilbert to stay the f*** back, no pinching unless you know 💯 you're winning the puck and in the Dzone, you clear the front of the net.

I’ll do those forward lines but I wan Dahlin/Byram and Power/Samuelsson as my top 4.
