It’s also generational. Born in 92 I remember the 99 Final as a child and then my high school years were right in the middle of our playoff runs from 05-07. I feel incredible nostalgia when I see the black and red

The 70s were a great time in Sabres history with the team over 100 points a total of 5 times in that decade. The first years leading up to the 74/75 team were a blast too - watching the team get better every year. I get the same feel for what we are seeing now with Buffalo.

The Hawerchuk/Lafontaine/Mogilny teams were a lot of fun and saw the acquisition and emergence of Hasek

The AGH years brought lots of excitement as well. I enjoyed those years a ton as I got to bring my young sons to a lot of games. I hated the switch to Adelphia Cable colors and the clownish uniforms. But now, I've mellowed and will enjoy seeing them as thirds for a while.
