I hated it at the time, but it has grown on me somewhat since then due to nostalgia. The beginning of the AGH era coincides with then I began really following the team.

I was meh about the jersey then, and I’m meh about it possibly being used now. I like the logo, but the jersey was terrible. Now put the Goathead on a royal blue jersey, and sign me up.

Man, back in the day I thought this change was blasphemy. Now I just think they're ugly and horrible and should never be associated with the team... they never ever should've gone away from blue and gold. It's kinda like how people like the star wars prequels now for some reason. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, but they're still bad.
The color change was my biggest beef as well. Blue and Gold were the Sabres' colors from day one and should never have been changed. The red/black combination was so overused in the league and the fact that it was the colors of Adephia Cable as well just made my stomach turn. I've never been so disappointed as the day the Sabres skated out in their new colors.
I hate the design of those uniforms as well, as I much prefer a traditional look to the mish-mosh of stripes and angles on the goat head jersey. I remember that back in the day I referred to them as circus tents when referring to the design.
If the Sabres want to use the goat head as a third jersey concept, I suppose I would not mind the goat head logo and the script B with the sabre running through it in blue and gold with a more traditionally designed jersey

I still have my AGH jersey that I got back in high school 20+ years ago. I think it would be cool if they wore those for a few games. Besides, my best memories of this team are when they wore those jerseys, so I sort of have a soft spot for them.

I'm kinda in the same boat.
I HATED us going with Black/White/Red back in the days. Seemed like we were just going along with a fad (turns out, we were). Of that era, the butterknives jersey is easily my favorite.
But................the AGH grew on me. I'd actually be 100% OK if our official third jersey was a blue and gold version of the AGH (hell, put the slug on the shoulders).
I wouldn't want the black AGH as our permanent 3rd, but for a one year retro throwback? I'm down.
