Any News on Dahlin contract?
He's still over in Sweden. No way anything gets announced until he's actually in Buffalo.

See?? I'm not nearly as pessimistic as some posters think I am.He doesn’t compete for loose pucks. That likely isn’t going to change much though maybe he sees the writing and decides he has to put in the effort but I don’t think he has it in him. And I say that as a long time Vic supporter.
I just don't see a fit for VO on any of the lines as a RW, would rather have Rousek on Cozens RW until Quinn is back and if Mitts is 3c he doesnt fit there and he doesnt take KOs spot on the 4th.See?? I'm not nearly as pessimistic as some posters think I am.![]()
Well, he doesn't seem like a good fit, but:Patrik Kane in Buffalo ? Were Will be sign ?
Well, he doesn't seem like a good fit, but:
1. He is a local player
2. He has already played under Granato
3. He is well acquainted with Adams and even lived with him when they played together for Chicago.
There seems to be a connection.
Yes for me.As a thought exercise - who would want Kane in Buffalo on a 1 year deal at league minimum?
I think we all should come to terms with VO being a Sabre this season. He's going to fit somewhere. I'm happy to see him traded at the TDL, but he's going to be starting RW for a while longer.I just don't see a fit for VO on any of the lines as a RW, would rather have Rousek on Cozens RW until Quinn is back and if Mitts is 3c he doesnt fit there and he doesnt take KOs spot on the 4th.
I don't want Kane as an intermission guest, let alone a Sabre on a one year deal.As a thought exercise - who would want Kane in Buffalo on a 1 year deal at league minimum?
Inaction is a slow death
"To fear death, gentlemen, is no other than to think oneself wise when one is not, to think one knows what one does not know. No one knows whether death may not be the greatest of all blessings for a man, yet men fear it as if they knew that it is the greatest of evils."Inaction is a slow death
"Well you may not know this, but there's things that gnaw at a man worse than dying.""To fear death, gentlemen, is no other than to think oneself wise when one is not, to think one knows what one does not know. Are you saying we should have traded for Erik Karlsson?Inaction is a slow death

As I remember, some here definitely wanted thisAre you saying we should have traded for Erik Karlsson?
Timing and strength. Tage and Cozens should be able to bring both. Then it should be just a matter of getting enough off-season practice reps with a coach who knows how to take draws.Faceoffs are weird. When I played I did anything possible to win it. Now you can’t do any of those tricks, and now it’s just on timing
Yeah it's a little doom and gloom, but not by a lot. I see five Atlantic teams and three Metro teams getting in - Tor, Bos, Buffalo, Ott, Fla, Car, NJ, NYR.I know this comes off as doom posting but the trade today was a disaster for us because realistically there was one potential playoff slot open and it was in all likelihood just locked up baring a catastrophic injury to Crosby or EK. The only other playoff team you can make any kind of case for falling off is Tampa and that's really stretching it.
Karlsson just had a historic season and his team still didn't even sniff the playoff race.I know this comes off as doom posting but the trade today was a disaster for us because realistically there was one potential playoff slot open and it was in all likelihood just locked up baring a catastrophic injury to Crosby or EK. Pittsburgh is far from a lock for the playoffs IMO.I know this comes off as doom posting but the trade today was a disaster for us because realistically there was one potential playoff slot open and it was in all likelihood just locked up baring a catastrophic injury to Crosby or EK. Good thing there aren’t any repercussions for failure. Looking forward to how people twist Adams complete botching of two straight off seasons as a good thing, actually. I’m sure his fifth offseason is when he will do his job, right? Those goalpost excuses from last year telling me this year was when he would do his job have to move to another year.
