Can probably color inside the lines too.I'm actually amazed at the quality of hand writing from this person.
I don't see that at all. Their top 6 is very solid, certainly better than ours on paper. They'll be a load to play against imo. Let's hope Keefe is a failure here and can't get them to play to Lindy's standard.Do the Devils suck? That lineup looks kinda bad

Levi.Who would start the 2nd game in net?
Yeah that lineup is murder. And Keefe is a good coach. I think the Devils have a shot at the Metro. They are basically the 100-point team from two seasons back but with better goaltending.
Being risk avers I would still go to Levi for game 2. Its the first real game of the season, why risk injury right out of the gate?Levi.
Or UPL both games if game 1 is a light to average workload.
They’re missing Pesce and L. Hughes, which makes their lineup look significantly worse at the outset here. They are basically the 100-point team from two seasons back but with better goaltending.
Huh, I didn’t realize Casey beat out Disimone. Can’t say I’m overly worried about their defense without Pesce since they seem to lack consistent defensive guys. Though you can probably say the same about Buffalo so I prob should be worried.Yeah, if they can get both, great, but at least one so they're not immediately coming home to questions about their start. Also, not to get too far behind early.
Casey has looked very good for the Devils and has seemingly made the opening night roster with LHughes and Pesce both out. He and Nemec as a third pairing is going to be interesting since they both can move the puck so well.

Seems like they’re going to be leaning HEAVILY on their top pair, and will shelter that bottom pair. Middle pair is okay but slow and I think that can be exploited. I guess we’ll have to wait to see which Seigenthaler shows up.
Casey played very well for them in preseason so it will be interesting to see if his level of play stays as high as the opponents round out with full NHL rosters. Given his history, he seems like a good bet to keep it up.
The Devils appear to be leaning into a lot of puck movement in the same way Buffalo will. If Siegenthaler is back to form and the addition of Pesce, they have a couple of excellent play killers. Hamilton's absence last year was also a big blow, pushes everyone down a spot on the depth chart now that he's back.
Markstrom-Allen is also the best net tandem they've had in years. It'll be a test for sure.
