Oh ok because I thought Reimer went on the trip with them. I'm happy Levi is getting a fair shake, I thought it was all but mentioned Reimer took his backup spot away when he signed.

I think most people have come to the conclusion that unless UPL falls apart that Levi will be up and down getting as many games as possible. While Remier will be the “official” back up but may get about as many games as Levi in the NHL.
Sabres can’t risk losing Remier to waivers and having Sandstrom as their 3

An 0-2 start would have the team scrambling to get back to .500 at the very outset of the season, their confidence already bruised. The toxicity on this board would be through the roof.
A 1st game victory will forestall all of that.
There's no Reimer reason in this decision
All players with existing AHL deals were extended PTOs in the preseason. The AHL deals are still legit at the end of these PTOs.

I thought they brought chicken wings
PTO’s allow them to play in NHL exhibition games. They revert to prior contractual obligations after being released from the PTO.

Either way, don't bring your own food and offer it to people when you go somewhere with much better food. Just enjoy the better food.

Reimer is there because you have to take three goalies on the overseas trip. If you don’t and one thing happens you’re dressing a German league guy as backup in game 2.
He hasn’t played because there have been limited minutes for the two guys that are going to play. They had two early preseason games…each played one. Then they traveled and had one exhibition a week before the games are real. They split it.
All seems very logical. You don’t give those limited minutes to a guy who isn’t set to start over there. But you take him because a call up is on the other side of the ocean.

They streamed a whole practice apparently while in Germany. I watched it and enjoyed it because I'm a sicko. I share it for the other sickos.
