How did no one challenge him?
Yeah, I'm also surprised Connor Brown didn't try and fight him.
How did no one challenge him?
A stupid angle? He's in the position any player would be carrying the puck like that lol. What a ridiculous take.
I mean if Reaves is going to throw big hits he should be able to hit even 50% body instead of 95% head and 5% body.Reaves does not deserve to be suspended because Nurse has crap for awareness on the play. When Reaves is coming in hard like that you do not do what Nurse did. Reaves did nothing egregious there. Just a bad result.

This is pretty much the exact play that gets you in highlight reels. Head down staring at the puck and then skating up without any awareness of where anyone is. A penalty is fine even though nothing illegal really happened. The only reason people are up in arms is because big hits are more uncommon.
His head is up when the hit happens. Usually guys don't completely miss your body on a hit and hit 95% head. "Nothing illegal happened" has to be a joke right? He didn't make any contact with anything except Nurse's head.View attachment 931636

So you can get cheap shots taken on you if you’re unaware?Reaves does not deserve to be suspended because Nurse has crap for awareness on the play. When Reaves is coming in hard like that you do not do what Nurse did. Reaves did nothing egregious there. Just a bad result.
Why should they reward Reaves by inviting him to do the only thing he's good at?Did anyone go after Reaves?
Probably because the only oiler who would look at reeves was lieing on the iceIt's always ironic that players are expected to fight after clean hits.
Yet when Reaves makes an arguably dirty hit and knocks your player out, no one looks twice at him.

This crap needs to be out of the game.
Reaves is huge, is upright, and skating on ice. If Nurse isn't such a moron in that situation Reaves gets 100% body. Reaves can't morph into an angled form.I mean if Reaves is going to throw big hits he should be able to hit even 50% body instead of 95% head and 5% body.
I don't think you know what a blindside hit is tbh. It isn't this.Matt Cooke throwback blindside head pick hit. Trash.
Punishment for him and the team would be forcing him to be iced for 25 minutes a game.Suspend him for the rest of the season!
In all honesty, it’s probably more of a punishment to not suspend him

Nurse is the only guy that wouldn't get completely caved against Reaves. Would you want Marner or Nylander fighting Nurse if the shoe was on the other foot? It's always ironic that players are expected to fight after clean hits.

There's no way you're going to try to argue that its harder to hit someone's body instead of their head on a guy that is 6'5. This is a wild argument.Reaves is huge, is upright, and skating on ice.
