He overall looked better/more consistent then Pelech. If you have to compare both, Pulock is a better candidate for a bounce back to his former self then Pelech based on injury history alone. Pelech needs to figure out a way that adjust his game so he can repeat the play style that got him the deal.
There seems to be a consistent gap between what Isles fans say about these two and their analytic results (particular the xGs, where Pelech shined this year and Pulock fell off sharply). Why is that?
Similarly Isles fans are meh on Dobson while everyone drools over acquiring him.
When I've watched Pelech he is the rangy stopper that I want. My concern is the injury history making things worse, but I like who he is now. I'm not sure why Isles fans don't.
I wouldn’t mind moving both out together for a contract and futures. Ideally it opens up flexibility and roster turnover for the Islanders. I don’t know who Columbus has available in the form of prospects/young players outside of the future core.
I'd consider going Severson+ to get Pulock, but if roster flexibility is what the Isles really crave here, we can leave that aside.
Pelech is a guy I'm very interested in but a bit of a risky target because he could fall off harder with injuries. I think he's possibly too risky to put our best young trade chips forward for.

This is how I'd rank the available pieces from Columbus:
Chinakhov (very high upside but is having back problems)
Luca Del Bel Belluz (top six center upside, NHL ready)
Sillinger (very young, a 3C, maybe 2C someday)
20th OA pick (it's available, though I'm assuming the Isles want closer pieces)
Daemon Hunt (solid LD, pushing NHL ready)
Stan Svozil (solid LD, maybe pushing NHL ready?)
We have a lot of prospects outperforming their draft position - Marrelli, Ashton, Henricks, etc.. Really anyone not named Cayden Lindstrom can be talked about. Or maybe even him if we're in talks about Dobson.
But for Pelech I wonder if taking on the injury risk alone is the cost of the deal. Maybe his value comes in around the 20th pick or maybe just the prospects after that.
