Savoie could have returned Draisatl and people would be pissed. Savoie is a smallish forward with shoulder injuries, he has a great release and is a goal scorer. The first part can really de-rail the second part and we still have smaller goal scorers available to us. Really like this trade unless my name is Peyton Krebs.

The one thing I like about this trade was that ruff was talking up using cozens for a matchup line. I think this frees up cozens to be a bit more offensively.

For one game as a wake up call. He scored right after. He is soft for the playoffs but you guys need to focus on getting there. Hes a good player. Speedy, good two ways, can PK and even so spot duty in the top 6 if needed.

Krebs has in no world the value to be the main piece for anything. He is a throw in until proven otherwise.

I'm not sure they were really excited at the idea of paying $2.1M to their 4th line center who may occasionally be their 3C. (remember, they re-upped Henrique to be their 3C and occasional 2nd line wing).

Was he going to be the 4th line center? Why was he benched in the playoffs? I'm guessing they would have moved him sometime this offseason for futures even if the Sabres weren't involved.

well, they wanted to get faster and tougher to play against, these moves so far would fall into that.
