That is not out of character for Jame. But, I do not believe you have been around long enough to remember when he was a frequent poster here.
jame v stokes on “insert prospect” was a highlight of every summer

Still second to that guy that thought the true measure of a defenseman was how they played in the trapezoid, but if you missed the something awful forums, those arguments were nostalgia gold

Only time I ever got mad at internets was in those prospect discussions

LoL he hasn't changed one bit

Also, demonstratively untrue re:cost.

EDIT: oh, he may mean salary. yeah that's true, from his first sentence I thought he was referring to acquisition costs.

He actually has a good point. I remember him vehemently supporting that trade but eventually (years later) conceding that it wasn't a good move.

Such a pompous and biased poster. Greenway has more career pts than both Fasching and Deslauriers combined, in about half as many career games. But his Tim Murray fanboy status can never die.

That if they had kept Deslauriers they would be a better team today? Des is one of if not the worst 5-on-5 players in the league. Sure, he has some goals this year. He gets his teeth kicked in at actual hockey and outside of the year he had to work up from the minors in Montreal, he's been a drag on his team at ES the likes of which is remarkable that he still gets a paycheck.

I just meant he's right that you can't judge a trade when it happens, and that people who complained about Murray's deal better be complaining about this one too.

That said, I didn't complain about either deal, and actually like the Greenway deal a lot, so I don't agree with him on those points.

It wasn't Jame, may have been Stokes, but there was a heated debate in the co-captains era between one poster who kept on insisting we need to be "measuring intangibles" of players and including them in any valuation discussions. The oxymoron of "measured intangibles" was utterly, totally, and repeatedly lost on him, despite several attempts by many posters to point it out. That day I was grinning from ear to ear, like watching human fails on America's Funniest Videos.

My favorite (least favorite) Jame argument in this boards history was the debate over Tyler Ennis’ “skating lines”

If the start in the NHL vs. AHL ATO is the hitch, linked likely to them being still alive as a playoff team... an "if we lose and don't make it, you get in and if we don't, the option is the AHL" offer from Buffalo could be part of the wait.

In agreeing with this, I'm not getting too bent out of shape about this guy.

In order to burn the year off his ELC, does Johnson actually have to play a game, or is it enough that he's signed? If he's a healthy scratch, shouldn't that still count towards his contract?

Get the fax machine plugged in and get it done.

2 games left. Get Johnson signed and into lineup last 2 games. Have Anderson play against Ottawa for this ceremonial retirement, and then beat the Jackets 10-0 for last game of the season and have Okposo hand the captaincy to Tuch. Then we win the lottery and move up 10 spots in draft. Is it too much to ask?

I forgot to add then we watch the Leafs lose again in the 1st round.
