Given the precedent of Crosby on Subban this probably gets nothing supplemental!
Didn’t matthews hurt his shoulder carrying his purse and had to go to Germany to see a specialist? No im not kidding and i didnt write that article. It sounds like its more in line with your opinion than mine.
That would make it one of the longest suspensions in NHL history, so a bit extreme.
Making a pre meditated non hockey play that could have paralyzed a player is a bit extreme too, no,?
how many games?
That is exactly what Bieksa was implying Hamonic should have done. The take makes no sense.Well he has a point. Hope Bieska wasn't implying hamonic should have indulged Hartman but Hartman was motivated to spark the team and get the sens riled and he escalated when the first idea didn't work.
It's the old school hockey mentality. Bieksa had to be the Hamonic role more than a few times and it's his default understanding of how these things work. Op's pest starts shit and if no one does anything about it soon your skill guys are getting hammered. That is exactly what Bieksa was implying Hamonic should have done. The take makes no sense.

It never made sense but yeah that's how things worked. The reason most of those guys think fighting still has a place in hockey is that it keeps things from escalating, and he's going to point at things like this as proof. you're essentially indulging the villain when you do it and giving him what he wants so really doesn't make any sense but the understanding is if you don't give him the fight he's going to try to hurt someone important. If he ducks fights with your heavies someone else has to do it. Idk man. That’s not how it works, not even old school. It’s not like Hamonic had taken a run at Boldy and Hartman wanted to fight him because of that. Hartman just wanted to fight because his team was flat, targeting star players on the other team becuase a fight in a 3-0 game about nothing was turned down is dumb no matter what era.
That’s bs. You want to inject energy because your team is flat?? then do something within the rules of the game. Hamonic doesn’t have to fight him. Have you honestly not seen things like this all the time before? That’s bs. You want to inject energy because your team is flat?? then do something within the rules of the game. Hamonic doesn’t have to fight him. That’s not the ‘code’ or ‘old school mentality’
It's the kind of mentality they're trying to get rid of. I'm not defending Bieksa's POV just trying to explain why he said what he did. That’s bs. Have you tried watching beer league?I wish the talented players were a stronger and tougher.

No I haven’t. At least not in the NHL and I watched for 35 years. Players turn down fights all the time. It isn’t typically followed up on by an attempt to injure penalty. Hartman has something wrong with how he is wired.Have you honestly not seen things like this all the time before?

Not talking about the end of it, talking about the lead up.No I haven’t. At least not in the NHL and I watched for 35 years. Players turn down fights all the time. It isn’t typically followed up on by an attempt to injure penalty. Hartman has something wrong with how he is wired.
