You’d have to ease up on all the leaf players then, but Tanev, they’re all soft but him.Going by this logic, Auston Matthews has back issues so players should ease up on hitting him.
No, the exact opposite. Matthews is strong on his skates so when he gets hit and cross checked it doesn’t send him flying into the boards or the ice face first. If it did then yes you’d have to ease up.Going by this logic, Auston Matthews has back issues so players should ease up on hitting him.

crazy disgusting move.
vulnerable position, back of the neck, targets the head, and it was clear to everyone he was looking to do something dirty beforehand.
That would make it one of the longest suspensions in NHL history, so a bit extreme.

Every time something happens to a Leaf it has become a league wide problem.
All the actual evidence goes against that. The NHL has become significantly more popular since fighting has gone down. There is zero actual violence in other sports like basketball , and almost negative violence in soccer which is by far the most popular sport in the world.I agree that this is terrible, but it probably has no negative effect on popularity. People love violence, and they love having villains. It's hard to admit, but it's true.
Stutzle got up , wiped his face and came back in the 3rd period for 2 assistsI wish the talented players were a stronger and tougher.
