Injury Report: Ryan Callahan (2/5: Wearing full contact jersey in practice)

My local bodega just started selling warmed pigs in blankets. Don't know if that helps but you should hurry over, they're quite a commodity right now.

Put this post in the category of bad next to brown toilet paper.

Hope it's just a pull or strain... somehow... We will be screwed if it's worse, I think.

The bigger question now is who replaces him? Hopefully Kreider is ready to go soon. Miller, Bourque, Thomas etc aren't ready for the NHL yet.

Ferriero is definitely gonna stay here, though.

Can I just say I find the concept of fighting in the game stupid in general? I'm not blaming either guy, because it was just one of those freak things you hope to avoid... but this glorification of fisticuffs in an already physical sport does nothing to further the game for me.

The clear solution here is to make Gilroy and Bickel full-time forwards, and call up McIlrath.

If you can't beat 'em, out jam 'em.

:sarcasm: (I hope this wasn't a necessary emoticon)

I could see what you're saying for staged fights but this was just two guys hacking at each other and they kinda just went.

That can't be prevented.

I disagree with you, but your viewpoint is gaining a lot of steam in the hockey world.

We'll be fine guys. As long as we have Joe and Sam's decade old trivia, we'll be just fine.

Well this got weird..

tell me about it. guys, we don't even know what's wrong yet. Also for those saying why he fought. Talbot was hacking away at Hank, so Cally gave him a shove, and then Talbot dropped the gloves, so what was Cally supposed to do? It was just a freak injury, nothing more!

Talbot didn't grab him on the way down, he had him by the arm almost as soon as the fight began. He's an idiot.

I could cross 6 lanes of traffic against the light and get nailed by a truck. That's an accident. Would it make me any less of an idiot?

If crossing against a light is what you do for 1 hour 82 times a year plus playoffs (48 this year), than YES..... It's exactly the same.

So it was like, a hockey fight?

All fans get colour blind for there own team from time to time..... this one is one of the easier ones to see rational (by most) even if the end result was bad for the Rangers.

Part of me wants to believe that it was just an an accident, but you don't do that in a hockey fight.

I don't know as it was intentional as much as it was stupid and careless. I really don't know what to make of this, but that's definitely not something you do in a hockey fight.

Well just proves you already have a prejudice against the Flyers player involved.

Your honor, I request this juror be removed from the case.

Next......

I didn't have any prejudice against Talbot until he hurt my captain by acting like a ****ing moron.

Agreed, I can't remember too many times seeing anything like that. It's not something you see. I think he wants to play it off like it was an accident, but really I mean, he took all his weight and pulled him to the ice. Just senseless.

Just saw the replay again, I think it's pretty clear that he is ripping the arm out of the socket. I mean I don't see how anyone can defend this guy.
