unless my math is off kaprizov had 42 points in 49 games at age 19. ??????????? how does 20 points in 43 games beat that?

Kaprizov's team scored a lot more goals. It's easier to get points when the team is scoring more. Traktor this year is so historically bad, that they are going into the play offs with the lowest G/GP in KHL history by any playoff team

Why did the contribution updates stop? Sure was fun being ridiculed in December for saying numbers are very favorable to Kravtsov at that point and no updates since?

Edit: Just to explain it a bit to sound less bitter, by no means are his numbers bad now which makes their absence in this thread ever weirder. If anything, it just puts him in proper context right now rather than being 10 points above everyone else as it was back then.

I still update them. Not sure what you're talking about.

Would you say he is a better prospect than Chytil? I know he has shown inconsistencies but I love Chytil's game and his ceiling. If Kravtsov can match that or be even better I am sure many Ranger fans will be very happy 2-3 years down the road.

Very close. I like the way Kravtsov plays more than the way Chytil plays. I think Kravtsov is more skilled, a smarter player and uses more of a possession-focused approach, while Chytil pushes the pace more and skates better. Chytil has done pretty well so far, so I'll go with the proven commodity as the better prospect, but I think there's a good chance that Kravtsov ends up the better player.

14-15 Kaprizov draft year - 8 pts 31 gp
Drafted in 2015
15-16 Kaprizov draft +1 - 27 pts 53 gp

Your math is off

Even with your edit you just sound incredibly salty lol and I was only checking in here for an update haha.

Oh I am. I just meant to explain I'm not some kind of Kravtsov hater saying he sucks or anything.

Well, the last update in this thread was on 4th of December. While you used to post them pretty much weekly when his numbers were at all-time best.

I forgot to post them in this specific thread then. It's been quite hectic with trips to Florida, Seattle, Vancouver, Riga and now New York. Just follow me on Twitter and you won't miss the updates ;)

Kid is smoooooth like a hot knife through butter with the puck.

I really wonder how many points he’d have if he weren’t playing on a crappy offensive team that averages 1.7 goals a game. His best highlights seem to be the ones where he doesn’t score/get an assist because his teammates miss great chances from him

His contribution is on par with Kuznetsov, Tolvanen and Kaprizov despite his team lacking serious offensive power. Any KHL teenager who is involved in +25% of his team's goals is having a great season.
