Love to see the Devils take a flyer on him. For a team short on top-end offensive talent, he could be a nice pick-up in the fourth or fifth round.

I wouldn't take him in the first three rounds, but after that, I think it's worth a shot.

Think there's a good chance that he get's taken in the next draft. Lot of teams will have been keeping a keen eye on the tournament and he's impressed massively. 4th/5th rounder.

Teams watch the WJC...but don't put NEARLY as much emphasis on it as fans, since they have seen all the players quite bit elsewhere. That's why plenty of WJC stars like Benjamin Conz for example fail to get drafted, or even lured to NA.

That being said, with his speed and hands, I could see somebody taking a flyer on him in the 5th/7th rounds.

There were (and still are) good reasons not to pick Conz, he's just too small, his rebound-control isn't (and probably won't be) on nhl-level. But there is just no reason not to try out Andrighetto, if you can pick him late, I mean it's just low risk and maybe high reward.

It's becoming very hard to ignore the consistent production. He basically needs to be compared with the rest of his peers from the 2011 draft, but even doing that, it becomes hard to argue he might not be worth as 3rd round pick this year, let alone a a late rounder. He is basically the highest PPG in the Q right now, ahead of guys like Grigorenko and Jaskin (and Jaskin is a 2011). He has legitimate top 6 upside, and even though there are still risks, when you are drafting the 3rd round and a guy clearly has top 6 skills and has proven it at every level, it becomes hard to ignore.

And it's his production and ever threatening play at the WJC that probably cemented him as a 4th-5th rounder this draft worst case. 5 goals and 8 points in 6 games in the WJC would be a terrific tournement for any elite 19 year old. And he showed well against the better competition.

No Andrighetto in CSB rankings?

Am I the only one that is surprised that Sven Andrighetto isn't even listed on the CSB rankings? Unless I missed him on the list. I figured after the WJC he had he would end up at least on the list.

Yea he was awesome in Ufa and has been very impressive all year in the Q. He's got a very Briere-like scoring touch.

Still leads the league with 19 pts in 9 games (tied with Fournier, 19 pts, 8 gms).

I think there's no way nobody takes a shot at this kid at the draft.

Watched him during the third game of the Quebec-RN serie. Such a great game for him. Easily the best player on the ice in that game. He was definitely better than Kucherov, Grigorenko, Erne, Duclair and Sorensen. He ended the game with 1 goal + 2 assists. He is so much speedy, with a great puck control and a good vision too. His goal was a fantastic one-timer slap shot on the power-play. I honnestly think he might get drafted way sooner than expected.

When I see guy like Andrighetto still not drafted in comparison of some guys who get drafted and how haven't half of his talent or work ethic, I am puzzled. Ok it's the size, but still... I hope his future is in NHL.

He has a lucrative contract for the next season with Geneva in Switzerland But like he said, it's a plan B.

I hope he will stay in NA. When I saw him in the U20 vs Russia he really impressed me, one of my fav player from the Qjmhl

Arguably the best player in the CHL right now.

I agree. Perhaps not the absolute best player, but he sure as hell ranks up there with the top players.

I'm quite puzzled that nobody took a shot at him last year. He put up very good numbers for his first season in the Q. He absolutely teared it up this year. I can't see him not getting drafted in June. He's one of the most dynamic players out there, he forms an amazing trio in Rouyn-Noranda and I'd even go as far as saying that the Huskies would be nowhere near where they are today without him.
