Very impressive start to his pro career (don't really count last year, which was good too). Even more impressive when you consider that he's nearly 10 points higher than the next closest player on the team while the others leading the AHL are playing on teams with much more offensive firepower.

Strome with another 3 points(1 goal - 2 assists) tonight, going +4 in Bridgeport's 5-3 win.

8 goals/21 assists/29 points in 22 games; +8

Get him to the NHL.

couldn't the islanders use him in their lineup? how long do they wait

Logic would say yes. Unfortunately, Isles fans seem to be somewhat split on what to do with Strome. We all pretty much acknowledge that he's ready, but some want him nowhere near this coaching staff as well as this current losing environment. Capuano has trouble playing young players over vets(just look at Nelson this year as well as Nino a couple of years ago).

Hopefully Botta's tweet about Laviolette being at the top of the Isles' wishlist had some merit.

1. I don't want any more of our prospects anywhere near this **** show until there's a change in management.

2. He would just be sitting next to Brock Nelson in the pressbox, while Petr Regin and Bouchard do pirouettes 15mins a night.

Tavares and Strome will be one of the best 1-2 centre punches in the league some day.

Not gonna lie.. I was disappointed when the Isles took him, because my team (Sens) was picking 6th.

I've been really high on Strome since his draft year. I personally think he should just stay where he is this year and be given a top 6 role next year with PP minutes to get him going.

OOOOOOO that would be a great hire IMO, Loved Lavy with the Flyers. It was a shame the wheels came off the second Prongers career was cut short. Griffin Reinhart would seem to be Pronger-esque. I really think the pieces are there for Lavy to be able to run his system. Especially without a goalie lol

I can't stand teams who gift underperforming vets spots over kids, we've had that situation in Buffalo too.

I am hoping at this point the plan is to bring him up once the west coast trip is done. Let him get his first games at home against teams that aren't as strong.

We probably could use Strome on the PP now. Strome fills a weakness on our PP unit as a right handed shot who plays on the left hand boards. Nothing annoys me more then watching our PP and seeing Tavares play on the left hand side(Tavares should be positioned just to the right of the net)

One thing that was good about PA Parenteau was he filled that position perfectly.

He's now tied for the league lead in points. What else can he prove down in the AHL?

Get him up here as the team gets healthy with Visnovsky, Strait and Nabby coming back eventually.

Plenty of season left and it will only accelerate his chemistry with the team going forward for next year.

Its what I labeled the "Andy Hilbert Effect" on the Isles board. Isles have done that for YEARS!!!!!

Peter "I can almost play hockey" Harrold and Anton "I used to be able to play hockey" Volchenkov have played many times over Larsson under Pete DeBoer

Strome now has outright scoring lead in the AHL with 3 points so far tonight.

Of the 27 goals scored in the last 8.5 games, Strome has a point on 15 of them.

My guess is he gets called up after this road trip.

Lol. Just added a goal. 1-3-4 on the night. Safe to say he's hot right now. 7 points in last 2. I think something like 14 in his last 5.

The kid is en fuego. If anyone questioned his uber-prospect status before, it's hard to question it now. The Isles want their kids to earn a spot, he's doing that with many players struggling at the NHL level. His ability on the PP alone would be a big addition. His promotion has to be imminent.

Strome is going to be magic with JT. Islanders fans in for a treat :handclap:.

On the PP, that is. I don't think there's much shot Strome plays wing at even strength until, maybe, he gets a lot stronger. He's just a third man high kind of guy right now. He'll get killed in the corners.
