7 months is a big difference lol, 11 months is a gigantic difference. What do you project Zadina to be? I see Zadina as a 55-65 point scorer in the NHL? How about you?
The same. And pretty much the same for Wahlstrom.

Would you say 30-goal, 60-point players are worthy of a top 3 pick? I do.

I have Wahlstrom at 4 in my personal ranking.

I think Walhstrom will be a 75 point player, but we will see. I would take them both over boqvist and hughes, but I wouldn't be surprised if the canucks choose positional need over bpa.

Tad leery of Wahlstrom's production because he plays with Hughes. For those who watch him how much do you think Hughes has impacted his game?

While it certainly has helped having Hughes as his center, Wahlstrom was playing very well before Hughes was moved up from the younger team. He was the best player on the team before Hughes joined him, IMO.

What Zadina is doing in the qmjhl is nothing special.

Some of you guys would go so low to make an argument you'd lick the floor. No matter which one you think will be better in the end, we're still talking about two potentially top-5 picks. These guys are far away from "nothing special".

In fact, everytime you need to crap on another prospect to make your "choice" look better, you're a fool.

Can't believe people think outscoring every CHL draft-eligible prospect since 2015 except McDavid is nothing special lol

a 1.44 ppg for an 18 year old in the Q is nothing special. People here keep mentioning its his draft year, but leave out the fact that he spent the entire year as a full grown 18 year old. I have also watched zadina play many times and he is very one dimensional. He will either bust or be a 55-60 point player for his whole career. He wont be a superstar. Wahlstrom has the higher cieling.

Outscoring ? Are we talking about goals only ? I dont see anything special in 80 ish points season in the Q on draft year .. maybe its just me tho

Pl dubois put up 99 pts in 62 with 42 goals during his draft year..

Abramov scored 93 in 63 during his draft year and had 38 goals and was drafted 65th overall.

I really see nothing impressive in zadinas season..

I'm talking about goals per game (that's what scoring means). Zadina had 44 in 57

He was still 2 months too young for the 2017 draft. Not like he missed it by two days like Brady Tkachuk... He played the first three months of the season as a 17-year old too.

I get that you like Wahlstrom better (I like him a lot too) but trying to diminish what Zadina has done gives you little credibility.

Nikolaj Ehlers averaged 1.65 ppg in his draft year,Pierre Luc Dubois averaged 1.60 points per game, Vitali Abramov averaged 1.48. They put up these numbers despite being younger. A 1.44 as an 18 year old is nothing special.

Ehlers was 2 months younger
Dubois was 7 months younger
Abramov was 6 months younger

Timo Meier was a month older, I guess his 44-goal season his draft year was nothing special, he just became a 20-goal scorer in the NHL at 21...

Give me a break with the pointless age comparisons

He's still older than everyone in his draft year. You admitted that you only project Zadina to be a 60 point scorer, so why are continuing to quote me. My standards for wahlstrom are quite a bit higher than what you project Zadina to be.

You celebrate 20 goal seasons, lol you have low standards.

I don't "project" anything because I don't pretend to be a great talent evaluator like you do. At least I can defend my point properly...

Utterly pointless discussing with someone who has no strong arguments whatsoever. Goodbye

I am high on Wahlstrom. I can see him squeezing his way into the top 5, depending on how the draft order lands.

Why are you wasting your time defending points when you only project Zadina to be a 55-60 point scorer. You like celebrating mediocrity, I get it.

some compare him to a young Patches...ironic if they move Max only to draft something considered "similar"

His overall game is projected to be miles ahead of Max Pac's. Pacioretty is a great scorer but that's about it.
