He's already embellishing and laying on the ice like a generational talent
He's like a 17 year old Sidney Crosby lol

Not in the same tier of player. This kid is phenomenal.
How good is Miroshnichenko in comparison?
Interested to see if he bounces back
Not a strong effort today but still fun to watch. Seemed like he tried to do too much at times. Maybe because he doesn’t have much help?
He did a few very good passes, could have had a couple assists if his teammates were luckier/more skillful. Switzerland played trap, it's hard to play against for a 17 year old kid who isn't still physically mature vs such system, especailly when opponents are older and bigger. He still scored.
You thought he played awesome lol?It will be interesting to see if Michkov can bounce back from a game in which he scored a goal and played generally awesome.
Yes, that's true....but why are you comparing hockey player age groups by number of days? Do you do this for everybody?Gretzky's 16 year old performance was a full 47 days younger than Michkov is right now.
I never said they would.Yes, that's true....but why are you comparing hockey player age groups by number of days? Do you do this for everybody?
All the hockey programs that I'm aware of use calendar year....so, there are always players born in each of the 12 months. The WJC also uses calendar year....so Michkov has 2 more years of eligibility....he's not a double underager, he's 17.....they're not going to give him an extra year just because he was born in December; lots of people were born in December.
If you want to pretend that Michkov was born a month later than he actually was, you're free to do so. It doesn't matter to me.....but, what's the purpose of that? Michkov grew up playing within his age group, just like every other hockey player. You probably think McDavid was one year younger than Michkov in his first WJC?..
Reichel was 4.5 months younger than Michkov. And it was in 1987-88 year, when scoring was way higher, than nowadays.

I know the stat line will say 2 goals and yes he was creative and driving the play to some extent but stat watchers will be more impressed than NHL scouts from that one game sample.
He is still the 1B for the 23 draft so don't get all excited.
The point is that the game didn't change any minds as he is considered one of the top 2 guys in the 23 draft and then there is the rest of the field at this point.
No, I don't, because it has no significance.
Sidenote, Russian fans are told that they shouldn't get too excited and that they are statwatchers
Russian fans are told what has changed and what has not.
And thankfully there is also the question police on the go, telling you which questions are significant and which are not.
