I think the fact that we are hearing a number of teams wanting to jump up into the top 5 answers that question.

Teams are so fickle. The tape shows he’s the 2nd best prospect in the draft. Now that they get to meet him a lot of the noise and BS will stop.

The Wild went to the state department to expedite Kaprizov's VISA because the application/renewal process was backed-up for months due to Covid.

They had to get him through Turkey. It was a huge ordeal.

put some money on him going before pick 6 at +150. Idk I just think at the end of the day the talent will win out, someone will take the plunge. His upside is so mammoth, even compared to the other really great prospects. If you're an analytics based org there are some models that have him even better than Bedard. If you're a scout this guy has been anointed as potentially generational for years and nothing in his play has really dissuaded that notion.
