It was a loan. SKA had a full roster of veteran players and they're not in the business of trying to develop players. What was the process that led to them being able to acquire him?

He’s under contract with SKA. They loaned him to Sochi so he can get more ice time without interfering with SKA businessWhat was the process that led to them being able to acquire him?
Wonder what their record, goals for/against is with him and without.Sochi had the worst season in KHL history
Why is this kid not a lock for the 2nd pick? is it the "Russia factor"? I seem to remember him and bedard being by far the 2 best players at the u18's. Then russia got banned from iihf tournaments and we never heard a thing.

That’s Bedard description as wellHe's short and doesn't forecheck and backcheck well

The answer would be yes to the Russian factor in my opinion. If he plays all year in the CHL the size arguments go out the window the same way they do for Bedard. Why is this kid not a lock for the 2nd pick? is it the "Russia factor"? Michkov after having been draftedM A S S . C O N F U S I N
Not sure theres anyone at 3 that makes much of an impact next seasonIn a normal year I feel like theres no chance he falls past CBJ but Jarmo is firmly in the save his job arc so hes going to pick someone who can make an impact next year
Doubt Fantilli or Carlsson can have an impact next year i think they should even keep Carlsson in the SHL for one more yearIn a normal year I feel like theres no chance he falls past CBJ but Jarmo is firmly in the save his job arc so hes going to pick someone who can make an impact next year
Things are getting spicy at the top of the draft.
Teams are also trying to get in the top 5, but looks like it won't be easy according to Friedman.
