All Czech GM always promise young talented players playing for men but the reality is entirely different...
You can´t buy that Czech GM say regarding their young players. Unfortunately...
Maybe Frk would actually start playing for men since January but I can guarantee you that it would be usually five shifts on fourth line. I have different idea of developing of top prospect...

I agree with you. But now we will not know it for sure. I don't belive it mainly because Karlovy Vary has too many players. But January makes a sense becuase of Hruska leaving the team...However, I think that playing in Halifax will be better than uncertain chance of playing several shifts per game in Czech league.

Ryan IMO is big, good hands and ok skater BUT and this is a big BUT!!!!!!! he is as soft as they come, everything he does is soft, he passes super soft, takes the body so soft it is as if he is just letting the guy know he is there by tapping him on the shoulder, he has to get a bit physical, pass hard and doing things with confidence....Ciampini is looking really good at the camp though, does not like to handle the puck alot but he is amazing at finding lanes and getting open and using his amazing shot to score goals he looks like a young Brett Hull IMO...Garrett Clarke is amazing this year, if his attitude problems are cleaned up look for him to make a 1st round push this year.

Excellent players for Mooseheads: Ciampini, Turbid, Clarke, Boudreau, Ashley, Desjardins, Bety, Lemieux , Lewis, Gelinas, Corbile and Delmas

Still waiting for more: Brent Andrews

Just not doing it: Bishop, Terenzino, Hannay (NHL drafted, I still dont know why, but not looking good).

With the addition of Frk this team will be very very good this year...I never went to my teams camp this year, and decided to stay back and watch the Moose camp since I am still a Moose fan because I live in Hailifax.

I agree on Hannay. Needs to step it up. Rookies like Ciampini, Ashley and Desmarais are looking great. Clarke is leading the team in points and +/- in the pre-season. What a turn-around with him. If he keeps this up he will make a push for 1st round next June. Delmas looks great however will be traded. Looks like Corbeil and Terrenzio will be the tandem.

Martin Frk's first game with the Mooseheads

he played a good game, skating looked a bit choppy for two periods, but was skating better in the 3rd period...creates a lot out there on the ice, he was passing a lot, picked up two assists one was a great pass in the slot after making a move he took his guy off balance and passed it cross crease...his 2nd assists he spoted his guy on the PP, sent a pass side to side and Grant with a great shot scored...he was taking the body a bit and was creating out there every shift...I think it is going to take him a month or two to get use to the league but he looks to have superstar talent...2 assists in his first game he looked pretty good. I would like to see him shoot the puck more though.

I thought he looked pretty good in the opener tonight. 2 assists, one where he dangled a CB defenseman and set up a one timer. He's more of a physical force than i thought he'd be. Very entertaining player and looked good on NA ice.

Thanks for the update. I will be keeping a close eye on Frk's progression this year.

Frk? How is that even pronounced? Frick?

Pronounced Ferk :)

He seems to like that move where he takes the puck behind the opposing teams net and reverses it backhand to pass it out front trying to trick the goalie. Tryed it a few times last nite

I'd like to buy a vowel and put it in his name.

Thanks. That's the other pronunciation I had in mind.

quite good pronunciation is here ... time 0:20 - it's almost perfect

.. I must say it's quite rare and unusual surname here in the Czech rep.

He played great last night. Wish he would have shot a little more but that will come when he feels right. His passing is great, he is pretty big too.

He is a better shooter then a passer so just wait and see. Once he gets up to speed after coming late to camp and gets used to playing on the smaller ice surface im sure he will shoot allot more and score plenty of goals, thats what he is really good at.

His one big weakness though that some have mentioned is his speed and skating, its not horrible by any standards but its the area that he needs to work on the most. If he can get faster and become a even better skater he has everything it takes to become a elite NHL player in the future, even then he is good like I have been saying. Think Ovechkin, thats the player he best compares to, and also happens to try and emulate.
