Every player has faults in his game, Kakko is not an exeption to this rule. I'd say his biggest problem is his defensive play, sometimes just way too lazy for that. And considering some people (including I) are talking about him as potential center, that's not a minor issue.

Of course everyone has faults and none is perfect... But there is big gap between fault and something to be worried about. I wouldn't really worry about Kakkos defensive play, because that is something what is easy to learn and he already have incredible physicue and good IQ.

Hughes shot isnt that great, but I still wouldn't worry about that or his size because he's a center. Those are his "faults" but still nothing to worry about.

Honestly I think Kakko and Palve play PK just for increased chance of scoring.

Kakko sniped his 3rd playoff goal on PP

For me who cant watch these games do you have any more highlights with Kakko.. Really love youre posts btw ;)

Damn, Kakko 2nd on team TOI

I'd say Hughes' "faults" are not going to free pucks and floating. Those can be fixed really easily though.

Yes. Kakko & Palve played the last 3 minutes when they were chasing. TPS lost and Kakko's goal was the only one they scored. I don't have any more highlights from tonight, sorry.

Should I make a trip to Turku on Friday? Might be the last time to see him play in Finland in a long time..

It's like a 5 hour trip by bus but train would be too expensive. I'll think about it..

Turku is a beautiful city, if you have the time you should absolutely do it.

Yeah I just bought a ticket to the game. It's a "can't miss" game.
Hoping that at least some people bother to go to the match, it's friday after all. Gatorade center can be pretty bleak when there's like 5k people, but when there's enough ppl it's really nice.

Keep in mind that the arena is a long way from the city, there is bus going there before and away from there after the match.

Yeah I know, I've been there before with some of my friends who I came to visit. It was last season though.

Thanks anyway. :)

Surprised to read that Kakko has both diabetes and coaliac disease. Of course those won't stop him in his career but he definately has had it rougher than most young people.

I'd say Hughes' "faults" are not going to free pucks and floating. Those can be fixed really easily though.

Explosive players are prone to run out of gas more easily which means they're better off efficiently positioning themselves to float every now and then so they have stamina left to explode when needed. Ovechkin is the perfect example of this (granted Ovechkin isn't only a fast-twitch muscle fibre player but also veeerry heavy so it's even more important for him to float efficiently)

That's one of the reasons Puljujärvi isn't doing too well because he keeps chasing the puck mindlessly until he runs out of gas to do anything.

I just read the article. I never thought he could have such things..

Now I see why he was held back at the beginning of the season, when he got wound to his finger. Ofc healthy person culd've suffered from it and held scratched, but for diabetics wounds culd be really life threatening as they may end up amputation of the limbs or even blindness, if they arent cured carefully. It shuldnt affect ones lifes any other way tho, when they remember to inject themselves and eat regularly.

Hopefully his ssn continues after game 5 aswell and he isnt feeling so much fatigued due to coach Kaskinen's decisions to let him play long PP shifts some PK's and that long 3 mins at the end of the last game. TPS needs all of their cylinders and more common sense and imagination to their playing. They shuld limit their penalties, regroup as a team, still play bold cuz HPK has now all the pressures tbh.

For those who had the concern, English won't be a problem for Kakko. He apparently gave a hour and half long interview in English for NHL team this week. Only once in the interview he had trouble understanding the question.

Ensi kesän huippuvaraus Kaapo Kakko välttää Jesse Puljujärven kohtalon – veti Turussa englanniksi NHL-seuran pitkän haastattelun

It's a red herring issue anyway. Let's just cut to the chase here: If the team that has the #1 pick feels that Kakko is the best player in the draft he'll go number one-period.

Damn, I would have liked to watch this game... But there just aint no way for me to do so is it? live in sweden.
