What I like most is how well he shields the puck using his body, impressive physicality for a guy his age. Combine that with his great mitts and the puck is glued on his stick.
I've noticed that some people on these boards have started calling him Kappo. And I feel like it's partly my fault.
And we are live!
Enjoy! All of the plays shown here are from his 2018-19 Liiga season with TPS Turku. All of his goals and assists, as well as numerous other plays are on full display here. Over 60 plays are shown.
It'll be quite interesting to see Kakko play on a team with some sort of a working breakout system and coherent plan in both ends of the ice. TPS dmen cannot for the live of them give a proper pass to moving forwards and don't support each other under pressure. It is absolutely f***ing dreadful to watch. Their team play is just...nonexistent.Seems what I said about TPS, is materializing already.
Would've been a nice one for his first playoff goal but it was overturned... he's been phenomenal in the first period....
Bummer but I guess it was an ok call.
What are you on about?Apparently getting a rough lesson on playoff action.
What are you on about?
The game's basically Kakko vs HPK. Watch my clips for reference. He created ridiculous amount of chances in the first. But that's the problem with TPS. You can't win games like this, you need a proper 5v5 plan.YLE Puhe commentator at Hämeenlinna.
Finland may have quite a few U20 winners on that team.Looking forward to seeing Kakko at the U-18 WJC.
Like if you want TPS to lose against HPK so that Kakko can play in u18 wc..
