He was wrong to call a rookie a rookie? What even is this discussion? "Rookie" gets used all the time in this kind of context. Nobody "acted" or "framed" anything, it's just a you problem.

It's a you problem because you found the word choice misleading even though it isn't just like it isn't a matter of discussion but a matter of fact. He IS a rookie. It's a me problem because I point out some misleading word choice?
I guess on a message board we shouldn't discuss what we agree and disagree about with the posts of others. Just nod along at every comment someone else makes.
You are getting very accusatory, and your initial post towards me was passive-aggressive.You are taking out this pet peeve of yours on one poster even though you are the one who has the issue with that is otherwise widely accepted.
You wrote 4 posts "nicely" trying to prove you are right, which you weren't. I don't think I was even that passive, I was pretty openly trying to let you know you are annoying flooding the thread with a pointless argument that doesn't even have a real foundation and has little to do with the player himself. You can take this criticism in stride or you can whine about it.You are getting very accusatory, and your initial post towards me was passive-aggressive.
If you disagree with my view, no one is forcing you to respond. I have nothing against the poster I disagreed with. I could've easily responded in a rude manner if I had something against the poster. I pointed out nicely how a misleading argument for Graf could be made stronger.
It's a you problem if you can't take that in stride.

Of course you were passive-aggressive. You directed a message towards me, but refused to quote me. Was your hope that I might miss it?You wrote 4 posts "nicely" trying to prove you are right, which you weren't. Everyone else? You polled the website? When it's everybody else... it's you

I have no problem here. I responded to a post saying a part of it was misleading. I did so because that was my opinion. That's all. No different than any other post I make on this website. If that upsets you and you feel you need to react against something so obvious, you are the one with the problem.

This. But also, imagine saying something like that in a locker room or at the bar hahaJust want to chime in that was maybe the dumbest and most unnecessary argument I've ever seen on this website and lord is that ever saying something
Graf von RookieFor the rest of his career I'm calling him Collin "Rookie" Graf.
So you've never heard anyone having an issue with people calling a 26 year old a rookie in the NHL? Because that's essentially what it is. The AHL is a developmental league. He's somewhat old (not terribly, but getting there) for a guy that is a legitimate prospect that is likely to play NHL games.
As I said, it technically is true that he's a rookie pro, but framing it that way is a little misleading. That's why I suggest it lends more credence to what he's done by explaining what he's accomplishing compared to all, not trying to act like he's on a level playing field as a rookie with Konsta Helenius (nearly 4 years younger).
You have some really "hot takes"It's a me problem because I point out some misleading word choice?

How dare you, sir? That man is TWENTY-TWO!!!The Rookie is tied for the most points in the AHL, which is especially impressive as a Rookie. Can't say enough about how good of a Rookie he has been. Crazy thing is he's still a Rookie.
