3 points in 3 games at the world juniors but he’s been much better than his numbers indicate. Probably one of USA’s top forwards besides Zegras and Boldy

In today’s soft/skill only and perimeter hockey style there is always room for a guy like Brink that camps his ass out front and battles.

Dude, he is like 5'8". That's not the type of guy that you park out in front of an NHL net. If you are 5'8", to cut it in the NHL you had better bring some serious talent to cut it in the NHL.

I don't know why they put him in a bottom-6 "grinder" role on this team. But I am glad to see him get a couple goals last game.

I think the point was that he doesn't mind going to the front of the net/dirty area which is a huge plus for a guy his size where players like that tend to play on the perimeter.

Can he find a spot in an NHL organization? Like a Cam Atkinson? Size-wise, reminds me of Jordan Schroeder (he's actually an inch shorter than Schroeder), who just couldn't quite find a spot in the NHL, despite 1st round draft status.

I always root for my Minnesota brothers to make it, but at this point I am bearish on his NHL future. I do hope he proves me wrong.

Exactly. He isnt afraid of going to the front and getting greasy goals. Not all guys his size are willing to do that.

Short!

What is up with Brink after coming back from the wjs? Anyone who watch Denver have an idea?

Fairly quiet weekend - one assist as Denver swept Colorado College.

Overall, he's scored one goal with seven assists. He is playing on the top line for the Pioneers.

He led the entire NCAA in points. I'd say that's better than had he ranked 40th.

Who knows what he will do, some short players just can't hack it (Jordan Schroeder) but still others (Atkinson, Debrincat, Gaudreau) flourish. I'll be rooting for the kid...

I think Brink has a good chance of playing a top6 role for the sole reason of his incredible hockey IQ

As a Flyers fan, it's hard to get excited for Brink because I don't see his game translating to the NHL. He'll be a solid player on European ice though. I get Jeremy Bracco vibes.

I guess you didn't read the last page of this thread. :sarcasm:

Led college hockey in ES scoring...so not just a PP specialist as we were led to believe.
