He's an 18yr old rookie on a team that isn't forced to lean heavily on him to score goals. There is no need to rush him and they have the luxury of taking it slow to coach bad habits out of his game, like his penchant for taking tons of penalties.
The Canes owner has made it abundantly clear that he wants his team to score, score, score as much as possible and when Svech is ready for more icetime and scoring opportunities he's going to get them. You don't draft a guy with his pedigree and skillset to play him on the 3rd or 4th line his whole career. His time will come.
