Hes been a surprise for my fantasy team due to the fact i didnt realize he had an edge to his game too.. 44 pims and 78 hits in 48 games has been a welcome surprise to my team that includes hits/pims!

Interesting coaching. Your player had 3 points last game, so what to do at next game? Idea! To reduce his TOI.

It's called asset management in these days. :D
Lets see if they take it into the same level as the Jets do as he closes into the end of the ELC in the coming years.

Every so often Brind'Amour gets excited and puts Svech on the top line. Most of the time he plays with AHLers.

Svech was the most notable player on the canes by a fair margin IMO. Aho was good but more in flashes. Svech was doing something every time he was out there, always looked dangerous+ he made wallmark look great. I kept wondering how the f wallmark kept getting the puck but it was because svechnikov was rightfully drawing a lot of our D's attention when he was out there.

I agree with Loubardias, when this kid puts on some more weight and gets some more confidence at NHL level he is going to be very good.

Check out this PP goal from Edmonton 2 nights ago. Exactly what you state:

All 3 defenders draw to Svechnikov like a magnet and it frees Wallmark for an easy breakaway goal.

The hurricanes is a surprisingly deadly team. And no, he didn’t deserve anymore ice time then he did. Dude was not noticeable when he was out there. Hurricanes have too much depth. He was picked by a team that finish 11th worse , I think if he was drafted by actually a bad team, his ice time would be more then it is now, but just my 2 cents on him.

He’ll probably hit 20g and ~40pts this year, not too bad for an 18yr old. I’d suspect a big jump in production next year with, hopefully, more productive and skilled line-mates, like Necas or Aho.
he went scoreless in 15 out of his 17 last games. i won't be surprised if he ends up with about 30 points, which is underwhelming for a guy who was drafted second overall.

Hmmm...Tyler Seguin only put up 22pts in his rookie season as a teenager. Man, he really shouldn’t have been picked 2nd OA all those years ago....

Please. What a weak argument.

He's also playing with mostly grinders and low skilled guys. But even though that may excuse his somewhat lack of production, it does make me worried about his development a bit.
