You can waive any of these players and no one will claim them. There are 0 legit NHL players in our bottom six. Does anyone seriously believe that at this point it can be fixed by trades?
Last year we traded a young RD for rental, got destroyed in the first round anyway. If anyone wants to do it again then ok. I personally don't see the point.

I have no idea what you're talking about. One thing doesn't exclude the other. Bottom is bad, but that doesn't mean the 0+2 dude can't be better, just because he's been better every other season.
Top 6 can't score more than 1-2 goals for a month now. Can't score against terrible defensive teams, can't score against terrible PK teams. Weird lines, weird PP units. It's all Cooper's fault.

Thinking we will trade the Utah or Kings 2nd rounder to make improvements at the deadline. Whether it's for a Rakell, Bunting, or someone else, those 2nds are in a weaker draft. I'm usually in favor of keeping picks, but our team needs some help (unless we crater and should stand pat).

Production of the entire 2nd line of Hagel-Cirelli-Geekie/whoever dropped way down in January.

Cirelli went 5-2-7 in 16 GP.
Geekie went 1-1-2 in 15 GP.
Hagel went 5-7-12 in 16 GP (would’ve been 3-6-9 without the LA game).

Now except for Geekie they were scoring at almost ppg pace in 2024. Way above Cirelli’s career average. And he’s been on 15-25 game hot/cold streaks before in his career.

The real issue is that the 1st line regressed offensively at the same time. We hit posts and missed open nets every other game.

And the bottom-6 outside of Paul (5-3-8 in 16 GP) is a non-factor offensively anyway:

Chaffee went 2-0-2 in 16 GP.
Ace went 1-1-2 in 15 GP.
Atkinson went 0-1-1 in 10 GP.
Goncalves went 0-1-1 in 7 GP.
Glendening went 0-0-0 in 16 GP.
Girgensons went 0-0-0 in 16 GP.

The problem is we are built on line 1 having that ridiculous pace they were on and never falling off. November might be the only month in 2 years of trying in which Hagel and Cirelli have played well together. Everytime I saw it work I said a quiet little prayer it wasn't the last time. All said I am more pissed we didn't reload after the repeat than I am about what we are seeing now. We could have rebuilt this entire lineup with Killorn, Cirelli and Sergachev alone. Instead we have whatever the hell this is supposed to be.

We gotta leg this out and trust JBB to find the right guys and Coop to win with them

If him running into a barrier/gate with his car is any sign, maybe his eye sight is like the guy from the Waterboy?

Hes the worst offensive player I've seen us ice in at least ten years. The guy kills every play and rarely touches the puck. There's no pulse to our offense when he's on the ice.

He is just north of 11 min now (11:12). Not drastically different from last season, but 3-4 min and likely better line mates/opportunites do make a difference.

PP time wasn’t much of a factor though outside of 2021-22 when he had 4 PPP (out of 18 total points).
But yeah TOI and line mates is a factor. He’s been a 3rd liner in the early 2020s I think.

Was thinking about this the other day. If we're going pure fantasy land, I'd empty the tank for a player like that.
