RW Alexander Pashin - Spartak Moscow, KHL (2020, 199th, CAR released)

The Russian Cole Caufield... but much weaker.

His window is closed. He will never reach the level sufficient to play in the NHL.

Becoming a good KHL player will already be quite a challenge.

Not a good comparison IMO. Canes fans would liken Pashin to Sergei Tolchinsky. Both are small Russian wingers who have been in our system. Both flashy. I think both will be career KHLers.

Happy he's doing well in KHL but I was hoping he'd break through in the NHL

Are these clips from the KHL or VHL? Seven assists and a negative plus-minus playing for one of the better teams in Spartak wouldn't appear to move the needle much in terms of NHL potential.

KHL, 17 games, 1 goal and 8 assists, he'll have to do better than that to have an NHL career

22, no NHL contract (released by Carolina) and a 3 year deal for the KHL.

Still a NHL prospect? How?

His best case scenario is a UFA signing when he's 25. Or am I missing something?
