It does make sense that he could play for the Steelheads. He could realistically live with his brother for the season.

I know I'll be keeping an eye on him this season either way.

I'd think Will would be living with a veteran on the Marlies, not his brother. And then Alex would live with billets / teammates. I'm sure they'd hang out though :P.

Haha didn't see this until now. Like a previous poster said could be his brothers but hey that's always a good sign I guess.

I'd really hope to have him in Missy this year. Adds to our other 2016 NHL Draft hopefuls. Might allow us to have a friday night nationally televised game now! :handclap:

Could be Nylander's Leaf mitts also ;).

I pray we can pull off some magic and grab Chychrun+Nylander next years draft.

I have a feeling Nylander will be gone by the 15th pick, let alone the 20th or so where our pick should fall.

Was hoping he'd play in Europe so he'd slide more and the Leafs could grab him with a late 1st. Probably won't be the case.

Yep, looks like the first of many Europeans that will go down this route after Julius Honka.

Kinda funny though that he signed from AIK to Rögle but is then loaned out to Mississauga. I mean it makes sense for him to go to Mississauga but what are the chances he actually ever suits up for Rögle? He could go straight to the AHL next year, or possibly stay another year in Mississauga. Doesn't make much sense returning to Europe after you've crossed the pond if you're eligible for AHL hockey.

Anyway, another huge addition for the Steelheads. They're gonna be fun to follow this season. Day, the McLeods, Tippett and now Nylander.

Maybe AIK didn't want to loan him?

Great move right now for the Steelheads and they look to possibly push for top 4 in the east this season, bad part is I think they are more loaded to run for a title next season and it seems Nylander will be in the AHL by then.

Nylander will be drafted out of the CHL this coming year, and thus won't be eligible for the AHL until he's 20.

Because he's on loan, I believe his being drafted counts as being drafted from the Swedish team he's on loan with? Honka did it with a finnish team, but was still drafted out of Swiss Current
