And also completely unreasonable just as it is.

completely. i think the 5 year deal is on the crazy side of generous at this point. edit: that was posted as a reaction to the ppl who seem to think we could just trade him if we signed a short deal and it looked like he was going to bolt for UFA.

I remember Gaborik played hardball with the Wild as well at one point; he signed after training camp had started, and I still remember the video of his teammates welcoming him onto the ice after the deal was done.

I could see this going the same way. If KK is as competitive as has been mentioned, he's gonna want to get out there at some point.

I don't think any Wild all-time records are in jeopardy from KK though.

I mean, this isn't very ambiguous but go ahead TS Quint, tell me I'm lying again.
Keep trying. You are looking for this gotcha moment that isn't there. Context is important. Where does it say that I agree that the wild is doing what the person said they are doing. Sure i indulge some peoples fantasies that they think they know what is happening in this negotiation to help explain why what they think is happen isnt reality.

If you aren't a liar your reading skills are extremely poor. This is what happens when you start with a conclusion and work your way backwards. You can't even read a hockey board but you want to internet brag about your negotiating career . I'm 99.99% sure you are lying about negotiating anything in your life. On the off chance you have this conversation shows you were extremely bad at it.

I don't understand the logic of people who keep insisting on compromise when only one side is expected to compromise. that isn't compromise. there is no report of Kaprizov's side compromising but for the rumor they're stuck on "details" on a mid length deal. stuck for over a week now i think so those details must be pretty strange.

he doesn't have to give up UFA years. he can take a qualifying offer then arbitration to reach UFA. or he can sit out. Wild don't have to compromise. they could say " QO or 8 years".

the constant "the wild should just let him take a deal that gets him to UFA" talk is essentially just saying "give him what he wants and hope you can trade him when everyone knows he's on the open market in a couple years" (and pay him a huge chunk while your at it--because he doesn't appear to want to compromise on the $)
What is the AAV of his QO? How late can he sign that? Maybe a smart move for him. He’ll do well in arbitration given the stats he puts up are better than your typical arbitration case.

maybe he signs his QO around December 10th?

The QO expired on July 15th (the July 15th of this off-season, anyway), and the deadline for RFA's to sign is December 1st.
