I think Zegras, Caufield and Boldy are a stronger top 3 forwards than Russia but Russia has stronger overall forward depth.

Multiple errors here. First, to think Turcotte is not a top 3 American forward is a big error. Another big error is thinking Russia has more forward depth. Russia has 3-4 good forward this year, all wingers, and the rest of their forward group is very underwhelming. USA has players like Brink and Brisson on the third line.

This is the best round robin game matchup in my view. Hoping for a Russian win so we can meet for Gold, they’ll be in tough today against a very skilled American team. Should be a great game.

USA has 2 good lines and yes 4 top players with Turcotte. Brisson should be on a top 2 line. Brink and the rest of the bottom 2 lines are question marks for me.

I’m far from a big Brink fan, but which Russian third liner matches up to him? And if Brisson should be on line two, which Russian third liner matches up to Beniers?

I don't know the lines for Russia. Was following Canada more in the exhibition as I have 6 of the Canadian in my keeper league. With regard to Russian centres form what I can see Afanaseyev, Kusnutdinov, Ponomarov and Abramov can play centre. I don't know who will be though.

Im not saying it was completely one-sided but anyone watching could see who the better team was.

Not that it matters because askarov is part of the team and is good enough to steal the gold.

Not sure why'd he be scratched one of the few Russian forwards who looked decent in the exhibition game.

Larionov said he was their 5th center a few days prior to the exhibition game. I agree I thought he looked good in the exhibition game, but I didn't see the 3rd period and heard he was benched. That along with the prior comment makes me think it's possible.
