I'm so back and forth on this. I can't imagine any scenario where we trade any of the core 4 and win that trade. Also seeing mitch raise a cup with another team would just be awful.

What woudl hurt more, Mitch, JT, or Mathews lifting the cup with another team?

Personally as a Habs fan, I thought you should have fired Keffe, and then run it back. You lot are sooooo good it's annoying, but just appear to get out coached.

It’s nice to get an objective view from a non-Leaf fan confirming what I’ve observed for the past five years.

Keefe is a Junior C level coach. If he gets a completely loaded team in the OHL or AHL he can have some success there, but there’s no amount of talent that can overcome his incompetence at the NHL level.

Unbelievable that Keefe is the guy Dubas hand picked and stuck with for five consecutive failures.

This is what happens when you have incompetent people steering the ship.

They end up going in circles.

It boggles my mind Shanahan had a contract ready for Dubas. Scary to think about. Even worse, apparently Shanahan had it on the table long before the playoffs even started.

Even if they lost in the first round again Dubas would have been extended.

So this is what it's come to after nine years of the Shanaplan. The goal is to no longer win the Stanley Cup. But only to make the playoffs instead.

Hopefully win a round every once in a while.

Otherwise there are no expectations. The organization will just keep running it back every year. Just keep trying until they finally get it right.

It's called "fake it til you make it".

The incompetence all starts at the top, with Tanenbaum. Trickles down through Shanahan. Eventually it affects even the players.

Nothing screams "we don't know what we're doing" more than watching this organization stumbling around like a drunken sailor trying to right the ship.

So clearly this team isn't as bad as everyone thinks. Losing in 7 games against the back-to-back cup champs.

Sad how many fans want to blow this team up when they were probably the second best team this year.
