Tye mcginn isn't jets property. So a direct trade couldn't happen. Technically golden knights could have just re-assigned oligny to moose, but this assures jets golden knights won't take him away for a wolves playoff run I guess? Not like oligny is a good ahler though.

Ah that makes sense then.

Shower thought, Chevy at the deadline is able to do another ninja trade no one saw coming. Claude Giroux?

well, yeah.

But seriously, 3rd last in the league and they have a good roster. Changes need to happen there.

And with the changes in management I'm sure they will. But if they start shopping Giroux the world will know about it. There won't be another stealth deal and the price will be high.

Giroux would cost a lot - both in terms of the assets the Jets would have to give up and his $8.275M cap hit full-NMC contract that runs until 2022.

Especially since Giroux would have to waive his full NMC. He is too expensive for the Jets, in any case.

Agree.
It is a nice fantasy though. That is until you subtract the assets that he would cost and make room under the cap.

The Jets need a spark and more depth at the C position. What do you guys think that it would cost to acquire Duchene from Ottawa? He has a caphit of 6 million and is an UFA next season.

I would imagine Duchene will fall into the “he’ll cost an arm and a leg” category. He and Stone will both be very expensive and probably exceed Chevy’s budget.

At this point I doubt much is going to happen until the trade deadline.

Spacek and a 1st...
don't think that moves the needle for CBJ. They're in a PO spot and with Panarin and Bob upcoming UFAs i think they're all-in at the TDL. Murray is a top 4LHD that is 2nd on the team in ATOI and 3rd in points for Dmen for them hovering around 0.5PPG. His analytics dont look to bad this year as well. I think this would be considered his breakout year after a disappointing to start to his career.

I would think it'd be more of a hockey trade for a C of equivalent age rather than a late 1st and a Wing prospect.

If Roslovic isn't a center then isn't it do-able? Do we really need another winger?
they're pretty good at RW with Atkinson, Anderson and Bjorkstrand. Their best prospect i believe is also a Winger (Abramov but am ignorant of their current system so could be wrong)

Yep, but if the Jets give up on Rosie as a Center but another team wants to try him at Center he might have more trade value.
