Dallas has been one of the better defensive teams in recent history. That system definitely allowed for Klingberg to produce offensively but they werent able to hide hks warts when healthy. Maybe he needs a change of scenery but it's not like he was a product off a poor system for a bad team.
I think you might be missing my point. I wouldn't be surprised if he should be better than what he was with the Leafs (assuming he is healthy).
My concern is that Klingberg was a very polarizing player in Dallas. Klingberg had 115 points in 180 games in his last 3 seasons with Dallas. However, he was also a combined -53 during that time. He's never been a guy who has been known for his defensive play.
He was saying his hip issues really caused him grief in his own zone, and he’s had the issue for a long time now. So will be interesting to watch. It’s like found money, if it works, then great. If not, move onto the next target.
