The guy McDavid needs on his wing might be another Hyman and that's Pageau

He's more or less playing for the top-line in NY, I know the Isles aren't great but they aren't moving him, imo.

He really seems like a key cog there, though I'm also a big fan of the player.

I mentioned it earlier, but I'll mention it again.

The Oilers are in a spot where they just have to "try" someone in goal. That someone should be Joel Hofer from STL.

He's a RFA, he makes league minimum, he has size and has put up decent numbers in small stints, he might be due for break through.

I would be happy if the Oilers overpaid to get him.

Stolarz was a slam dunk signing we missed this summer, one look at his stats show that at best he could be a starter in the league, and at worst a really good backup.

Blackwood has insane athleticism but has been on poor/rebuilding teams his entire career and then injuries.

Some of the saves he makes are insane though. I could see a player like that really firing up this group.

I'd take a look honestly at any one of the lower cost options out there

We can't afford him, but K'Andre Miller seems to be falling out of favour in NY. He's a really good young player, same age as Bouchard. The funny thing is, he's done great his whole career away from Trouba, while him and Trouba get smoked together. The issue on the pair clearly is Trouba who's best days are behind him, but the Rags refuse to see that because he's the captain. 25 year old smooth skating top 4 Dman, looks like he might be a good buy low candidate for someone if they move on from him.

you do realize that a number of these guys have no better save % than Skinner even given the horrible start Skinner and the team had with many blowouts.

Imagine Skinners sv% on a team like SJ instead of a contender. GSAE tells it all. He would get absolutely torched.

I have time to see if there's more to Blomqvist, but I suspect the Pens do too.

I would try Jarry if Nurse was going the other way and I have no interest in Ned, he's just a shorter Skinner and will underwhelm.

Hellebuyck is going to be a problem in the west this season.

Maybe he won’t shit the bed in the 1st round for a 3rd year in a row.

The Avalanche had a fun time solving that problem last year.

I still want no part of him. He is so god damn good when he’s on. That has series stealer written all over it. He hasn’t found his game in the playoffs yet but if he ever does the Jets are going to be unbelievably hard to knock out.

Trouba is a hockey black hole. Dude completely sucks. I liked Miller before, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trouba was holding him back. But he’s a Left D. Why are we look at Left D, that’s goes for Marcus Pettersson too.

I swear if we spend assets to trade for a Left D when we could have just kept Broberg, I’ll be pissed.

$5M in cap space at the TDL this year, this HAS to be the year we finally shore up the right side with an Ekholm like trade at the TDL.

I feel like parts of every season the Jets look like the best team in the League, but then they fall apart when it matters. Maybe this year will be different… maybe. Seasons long.

It does look like Scheiffle and Connor are playing some of their best hockey right now though. So that’ll be different from last year.
