I'd rather bring back Jack Campbell than trade with the Blues lol
Take the poison pill, because it's worth it to get a better player.

And don't be mad a STL, be mad a Stan for needing a vacation instead of getting to work.

Also this is funny.

If they would take Nurse, Buffalo I would happily take Luukkonen off your hands.

you do

you do realize that a number of these guys have no better save % than Skinner even given the horrible start Skinner and the team had with many blowouts.

We have to take a chance on somebody, running back Skinner-Pickard ... we were fortunate it didn't cost us in the playoffs.

Secondly most of those guys do have a better Goals Saved Above Expected than Skinner who is near the very bottom of the league.

McKenzie Blackwood is 19th best in GSAA, Skinner is 72nd.

Joel Blomqvist is 22nd best, Skinner is 72nd.

Alex Lyon is 23rd, Skinner is 72nd.

Logan Thompson is 14th best, Skinner welp.

Cam Talbot is 6th best. Dostal is no.1 above Hellebuyck.

Pickard is also not great in this category sitting at 43rd overall, but that's still considerably better than Skinner.

Jordan Binnington is there starter, makes alot, still has term, Hofer is an RFA due a raise and extension, call and overpay. He's a back up for them.

Or just give up.
Or target players that a team might trade. Teams don't just move the goalie of their future on a whim. Also, they have a young goalie as their back up grooming him for their team, not someone elses.

And what would they do for a back up? Call up Zherenko who is 1-4 with .870 and 4.06 in the AHL?

I am not against looking for a better goalie, but it has to be realistic.

WE dont need a great two way D for the second pair just someone to be good defensively and be able to headman the puck in transition and be able to pass to Nursery in the Ozone. Has to be good enough defensively to cover his partners brain farts.

The goalie problem is for real. Pickard is not good enough in successive games to push Skinner or to take over for an extended period while Stuart unplugs his head from his ---.

Mostly I wouldn't think Craig Conroy would consider dealing with the enemy. However they have a great need for a top line center and i would guess power forward center Roger McQueen has him drooling. He would fit they style of play to a tee. A puck getter possession guy that can feed pucks and crash the net. Calgary does NOT have their own first but has NJD's first and Florida Panthers first both of which will probably end up 22nd to 28th overall.

Dustin Wolf is on the edge of stardom. And Devin Cooley has finally started to fulfill his promise in the AHL.
Dan Vladar has awesome mechanics. Good at seeing through traffic and good rebound control. He is susceptible from the middle slot an high up deflections. But he is fair amount better than Skinner.

Montreal has more than 7 young player for their top 6 and has traded away defensemen as they are more than flush for the future. They could use 2 or 3 bottom 6 guys and a couple of goaltenders in the system with great potential. Ravenbergen has potential star written all over him. Gabriel D'aigle is very close as well.(from Sorel-quebecois matters lol). I think it would be a pretty good bet that 3 late firsts be they 25 or 26 would be of great interest for Montreals 4 or 5 overall.
