Bouchard not making Team Canada probably takes at least 500K a year off his next contract.

Well if its true that Holloway wanted 1.5 and Broberg wanted 1.8 and we said no, then that was a major screw up by the Oilers. FFS we threw 3 mil at Skinner, 900k at Ryan, 1.1 at Perry. Thats poor GMing :) Even at 2.2 for Holloway, not matching was ridiculous.

I hated the offer sheets as much as anyone, but at the end of the day I don’t get the focus on revenge? It was our own mismanagement that led to the situation. We should have been working on an extension with Holloway once he came on at the end of the season/playoffs, and we should have matched on him. Not sure why we’d hold a grudge because we mismanaged the situation and the Blues capitalized.

But even if Bowman did have revenge on his mind, it’s gonna be a long time before it can ever be exacted. We’ll be cap crunched for a long time, they’ll be mediocre for a long time.

It's still a big F you to our organization. Some have wondered if it happens if Holland was still here... I know the Wings never forgave Fedorov for his offer sheet. Won't raise his jersey for that issue too. Maybe it ain't 100% logical. They still f***ed us and I've held grudges for much less in Hockey.
