This Trade deadline is feeling like last years deadline. Heard lots of names float around Edmonton, then out of the blue, Ekholm was available, and we got him a week later, then on Deadline day, we got Bjudstad. I think Holland is trying to be more creative this year, hence we haven't heard anything concrete. I'm patient enough to see what he does. And I'm content not rushing either. Because you can see no other team is rushing to do trades either.
I agree, I assume there's been alot of conversation, it's just waiting on teams to say yay or nay to any deals.
Looking at the standings, things are still pretty close, but the teams chasing the last playoff spots have started to fall further out. I think this next week will really confirm some things for some teams.
From the standings today, the teams that are likely finished for any chance at the playoffs, teams and current points.
In the West, LA & Nsh have 68 pts / In the East TB and Phi have 69 pts( Caveat, only the Metro teams can catch Phi)

San Jose - 35pts
Anaheim - 43pts
Columbus - 48pts
Arizona - 52pts
Ottawa - 53pts
Montreal - 54pts
Buffalo - 58pts (I guess an very outside chance, but if feels really long)
