Ken went out and added Ekholm and Bjugstad and you are still calling him lazy. He's been far from lazy. I would've liked another D and another forward but another GM has to take what you are selling. What? The past few days I’ve just asked McYams if he has heard anything- that’s it. I don’t even remember talking to you. I never called him lazy- but I questioned his judgement after the DNB article. I believe today was the first time I called the Oilers approach lazy when there are still gaps. Maybe lazy was a bad word, let’s use the word passive.

That is such an insult to Dubnyk. He was massively superior. He put up numbers at least as good as Skinner (sometimes better) On a much worse team.

Colorado doesn’t have the depth to come out of the central healthy. They’re already pretty banged up and they didn’t get any significant depth this week. I don’t see any team that we can’t beat in the west.

The Avs had no trouble coming back on us despite not being healthy. When (or if) Makar gets back they're the force they were last year.

The Marody trade was after the deadline but that was a prospect for a draft pick so nothing to do with the NHL roster.

I generally expect the worse but I think we can take the Avs this year. Obviously anything can happen and goaltending is a wild card, but we are way better defensively this season and added Ekholm and Bjugstad. The Avs have been a middling playoff team all year. Heck they are at 50.38% xGF 5v5 for the year while we are at 53.45.

Georgiev has been good, but I wouldn't be extremely comfortable going into the playoffs with him. Same issue we have right now.

Feel pretty good about what Holland did. RD upgrade would of been nice but it was probably exhausted and nothing made sense.

RW upgrrade would of been nice as well but wasn’t much of market there. As much as we pile on Yamamoto, I think he’s pretty well liked in the locker room. I think back when AA was acquired and Gagner was traded back to make the salary work. I think it did some damage to the locker room. I think players can get behind it if the acquired player is significantly better but its probably not worth when its a marginal upgrade.

If the Avs ever get healthy then look it out. Definitely best team in the west.

We still didn’t get that X factor to match Makar but we may have got something to help even the field a little:
