Lol, good point, if Klingberg is not dealt, what poor asset management from the Ducks. Pay him for what? To help tank? LOL
Maybe he has been an integral part of the tank...wouldn't want to mess with that chemistry.

Flames management would rather vice their own balls than embrace a sorely needed rebuild. The Oilers even gave them every single opportunity and reason to but they had to keep the train going and they didn't realize it was headed towards Hell.
it's their owner who lives somewhere in Europe? He probably just reads the P&L and watches zero games lol.

As long as they are making money. He has said their goal is playoff revenue

Well they're not going to get any playoff revenue this year, and Bedard would generate more revenue than a one-round playoff run.

Yeah I mean if you're the Flames I don't see how you can really sell if you wanted to. The 'core' is locked in for a long time and for big dollars. They don't really have a choice but to bank on some of their key pieces being better next year when they're a little more settled in.

Definitely shouldn't be adding irrelevant garbage like Stetcher though lmao.
They can definitely still make moves that better themselves for the future. They can still move players like Backlund, Toffoli, Tanev, and Hanifin before their values start to diminish. But i just don't see that ownership group ever commiting to a full rebuild.
