That said, you still must convince to get Evans, he is the stud... still want to resign him.

savard was an anchor for hutson at the start of the season. if the devils need another rhd in the nhl than hamilton, kovacevic and pesce, they have better alternatives in the ahl with nemec and casey.
evans would be a useful rental. i don't think they would prioritize him in the offseason tough. max offer a second.

the last thing we need is to get tougher and meaner. Fitzgerald probably went too far off the deep end with that this offseason. We need more speed/skill at forward.
