Rumor: Rumors & Proposals Thread | If Babcock is Our New Coach Will Players Want to Come Here?

Kinda wondering how everyone feels about Colton Dach. I really like the kid, he actually put up points in the few games he played and some of them were nice little plays.

I don’t think he did much in Chicago this season but put up pretty impressive AHL numbers before that.

Not saying he’s gonna be a top 6 winger anytime soon, but I definitely have him penciled in on that 4th line opening night. Big kid, decent hands, love his effort, I think he could become a real fan favorite pretty soon being a hometown kid to boot.
If you can find the Bruce Curlock interview on Stauffer- he had some great analysis on Dach. Basically, from what I remember, he was asked to carry the puck a lot more Chicago where his game is more of a get the puck to a facilitator and get open for a shot (which he has a cannon). Curlock liked him a lot. Hinted at perhaps having the hockey IQ to move up the lineup

He put up some good numbers in the WHL and strong showings in the AHL.

He is still young and seems to developed a skillset outside of offence. But has some skill and wouldn’t surprise me if he put up more offence

Wouldn’t hate seeing him with McDavid to see what playing with a skilled player would do

Also Pickard. Could have had Dipietro for free. Kept Pickard. Should have sent down Pickard in the first month and saw what you had in Ingram- kept Pickard. Ended up trading for Jarry and sending down Pickard anyways
I still mostly blame the Jarry trade on the players…. They wouldn’t allow Pickard to get sent to the minors. Ingram didn’t get one game in until after the Jarry trade.

The players can’t “allow” anything. Bowman needed to grow a pair if the players said to hold off on Pickard. And the players didn’t force Bowman to take on an albatross contract while also giving up assets.

My sources are predicting a package deal of hintz, kempe, zub, amadio....maybe Evans, also one of the elite Russian goalies
....vasilevski, sorokin or shesty.

Oh and mintyukov.

Sweet sweet minty.....

Stankoven?

Radek faksa wherever he went.

what is Toronto's game plan here? why are they trying to stock up on draft picks? Are they rebuilding? They must really like the top players in this draft or something.

Chayka just used to eating Wendys all the time. He think he needs a combo to go along with #1.

How can he turn that down? Lolol…
Says to me he wants to win, Seattle is directionless, they seem happy being a perpetual playoff bubble team, but never good enough to win it all.

I wonder if he has a specific team in mind cause that is the 2nd team he has rejected.

Crazy numbers indeed!
Anyone know how close $12M in Dallas would be to $15M in Seattle?
Lets put an end to this tax nonsense. Puck Levine- a CPA in Canada and now working in the USA with his own accounting firm (and Puckpedia founder) on Staufffer's show has previously shot this down. He said there isnt much difference because only 41 games are played at home. What players make their primary residence also makes a difference (go back home during the offseason). While there is some variance between non-tax states and tax states- it isnt as much as people say. He also added once you account for costs for health (canada vs US), and other costs that vary state to state- the difference gets smaller.

Weather is definitely a factor and so is lifestyle. Tax isnt a big consideration
