They paid a 2nd round pick for a guy who has 21 points this year. That's the same production Podkolzin and J.Skinner have. I dont know about you but I would take a 2nd for either of those players. Minnesota overpaid and Nashville wins this deal.

it's year after year lol, i've been reading the same shit since 2009 on these boards people will be upset there are no moves and then be upset with the move made.

this team does need a new goaltender though, I personally think the honeymoon for Pickard is over. Like Desharnais, he was a good solider at his cap hit but his talent level isn't holding up in the NHL. Skinner, I'd evaluate him as a 1B goalie and let his contract run out if he's still bad

Yeah I agree with you but I'm looking at it a different way. Nyqvist is a 40-50 points scorer usually. He had 75 points last year. This year, he's on a terrible team who can't score. Don't you think it would cost more? Colorado gave up quite a bit for Lindgren and Vesey

I have to agree. The deadline is next week. Nothing between now and then will change a single thing, apart from a trade target getting injured. A great game or two is nothing

Oilers are situated just fine in the off season to make that trade with the guaranteed cap jump.

Plus there is cap space to be created if we need it. ie walking from Jeff Skinner or making other trades.

I'm mentally prepped to hear how we need that space to chase more projects at forward.
