He has a partial NTC, and reportedly turned down a pretty significant offer. Depending on what Pittsburgh’s trade choices look like, a deal like Guentzel (retained) for Ceci, a 1st, and something else might end up more reasonable than it seems right now
Seems reasonable but then how are we going to replace Ceci

A solid 3C can help a ton. When I watch Fraudcouver, almost every game, their 3rd line is driving play and looks like the best. They really struck gold just accidentally putting Hobbit Garland with Blueger and that Joshua Ogre.

Holland says he has no problem calling up Philip Broberg and putting him in the NHL

-Oilers Now

Anyone want to listen to Medi Chicken right now? I can't listen to him at the moment lol
It might be smart to bring Broberg up soon and put him into the lineup for Kulak for 3-4 games in a row with the kind of minutes and deployment hes going to be playing and even test him a little bit. Then send him back down heading into the trade deadline while you get something done with Kulak. I don’t think swapping Broberg for Kulak results in a drop off but you can always pick up a vet #6 cheap who can do what Kulak is doing right now in the unlikely event Broberg fades but I don’t see it. Bruce Curlock knows his shit, if he says Broberg is an NHL defenseman then I believe it.

As for the rest of what he said, sounds like a 3C could be the target, Perry should add a little scoring as well but having a high end 3C you could put a good shut down line together, the type of line you have no problem throwing out against the other teams top 6. Allows you to free up one of your top lines against weaker comp but also it makes it harder for the other side to hide their top 6 guys if theyre getting beat up by the Mcdavid/Drai lines.

One thing that we should try before the trade deadline is running 3 solid lines. I think something like:

Kane-McDavid-Holloway
McLeod-Draisaitl-Foegele
Hyman-RNH-Perry
Janmark-Ryan-Brown/Gagner

This allows us to not only have playoff-ready depth but to test the positional needs of 2RW and 3C. Perhaps one of Nuge/McLeod can run with the role. That third line should be able to obliterate weaker competition. We can also see how Holloway performs with a McBump. That should allow us to determine our needs.

Are any of the people who want Walker or Carrier at all worried that the last several teams that have won cups (as far as I'm aware) haven't had a dman that small in their top-4?

He said they would have to eat a lot of salary so it would be 2 1sts.

Honestly, I'd do it. That's a right handed younger Mattias Ekholm who will stay here forever
Parayko is such an attractive option but that contract is tough. I think his contract actually reduces his value, I don’t think there’s many gm’s who want to pay a pile to add a contract like that given the player and his age.

It’s a crapshoot every year of which Parsyko you’re gonna get, this years or the underwhelming player he’s been the two previous ones that had people wanting to move him. Given his back injury history I think that significantly ups the chances he could fall off sooner rather then later.

Not really. Plus, Makar is smaller than Walker. I know Makar is Makar, but we don't need all of our D to be big. For a good team, what they do with the puck is a much bigger deal. There's lots of size and physicality in the D

Seems a little arbitrary to me. But I'd also like to add him and keep Ceci, so yeah. Won't be upset if they don't get him.
