It isn't worth it to pay that to moderately improve on Foegele, who is a playoff-type forward himself.

We have improved depth this season with the addition of Henrique. IMO we're going to see improvements from some unexpected areas of the roster.

Plus foegele just isn't a very smart player. If you can upgrade do it

If Foegele plays a North South game he's very good.

The second he deviates from it he becomes a liability.

The problem is, just like it was in Carolina, is he wants to be a top six skilled type player and he has proven over and over he is not willing to consistently play the North South game.

I’ve been touting him as the final solution for the Oilers D for months. I’d be very happy with that! Even posted today about getting deep into Buchnevic talks then telling the Blues we’d need Parayko instead if they want their preferred assets. Ceci and Foegele out would work with the cap also. Wouldn’t need any retention on Parayko.

Calling it 'moderately' between Foegele and Buchnevich is extremely wrong.
There's a huge difference for both players and Buchnevich is more than just a moderate improvement over Foegele.

With buch here next season there’s no shot for bourgault to even make our team for 2 years unless you see him playing 4th line
